| | Pearl Jam is one of the most amazing bands live | | I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Pearl Jam live in San Diego almost 3 years ago. It is funny it took me that long when I have been a fan of theirs since they came out in the early 90's. I was a self proclaimed grunge girl in high school. I have to say I have seen many concerts in my time including bands like Pink Floyd but I have to say I have never witnessed a concert like Pearl Jam put on. It is truly nothing flashy but it is just raw emotion. Eddie drags you in from the very start like you are in some intimate venue where he is going to be able to come up and shake everybodys hand at the end of the show. He makes the show very personal, which is honestly in true Eddie Vedder style. So I would love to hear some feedback from others who have seen them. What was your experience like? | |

| Does anybody like Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam? | | I've just listened to these bands recently. I have never came across them intill I went on my favourite bands myspace page and they said they sound like the groups. I think the band (there name is Bleak from Finland) sound is grunge and that's why they are compared to those bands..Bleak is an awesome band if you like Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam check these guys out they are good!! If you do tell me what you think about them!!www.myspace.com/bleakmusic | |

| | How many times have you seen Pearl Jam live? Which was the best/worst? | | I know we, the Pearl Jam traveling public, are a pretty fanatic bunch. I've seen Pearl Jam 22 times between 96-06. My first show was 9/28/96 at Randall's Island. It rained, it poured, and we rocked. My only complaint was that I had to go to 21 more!I'd say my favorite show is 10/3/05 in Philly at the Wachovia Center. Not only a fantastic show and setlist, but my wife caught a harmonica from Ed during the first song with opening band Sleater-Kinney. Just a total show kinda deal.If I had to ever complain about a show, I guess it'd be 10/6/04 in Asheville, NC. Ed was sick at the show and it was cut short. We saw the intended setlist, after the fact, and damn did we miss out! | |
