| Who has heard Lionel Richie's latest album? | | I went online to look for a song to feature on myspace and stumbled on this beautiful song from Lionel Richie entitled 'I call it love'. It's an amazing r&b song and I wondered why it took me so long to hear it. I would be very grateful to learn about radio stations that are playing songs from Lionel Richie's latest album. Does anyone know? | |
| | Lionel Richie | | On the Valentine's Day episode for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Lionel Richie sang two songs. The first song he sang was one of his older ones, "Truly". The second one was off of his recently released cd. The cd is called "Coming Home" and the song he sang yesterday from it is called "Why". I have loved Lionel's singing both with the Commodores and as a solo artist. Yesterday was no exception with my admiration of him. He can still put out the smooth soulful sounds and grooving jams I've always loved him for. Not only can he sing, but he is very pleasant to look at. | |

| Have you seen the "We are the World 25 for Haiti"? | | I like this version as much as I liked the old one. This may have been criticized by lots of people but I think this version just speak of the new trend and genre of music that we enjoy now. It got a taste of hiphop because of some raps and they were delivered well by the artists. I just hope though that the artists who participated in this song have truly internalized the song and they have given their personal donation to Haiti.:) | |
| | What are your top three favorite songs and why? | | My top three favorite songs are the following:1. Easy (Lionel Richie/Faith No More)-wonderful song, the melody is soothing and very relaxing. Every time I heard this song, it feels like I am walking in an English countryside at sunrise with sweet-scented flowers along the road, very calm, and peaceful.
2. Love is the Answer (England Dan and John ford Coley)-I really love this song, sweet voice, nice lyrics and wonderful melody.3. Sometimes Lover (America)-America's voice is simply alluring, it makes me go back to my childhood years. This song had been my favorite since I was nine years old. Simply great!

| 80's music | | Yesterday, we went to lunch after church with friends. As we were sitting at the chinese buffet, there was a cd playing through the overhead speakers. The music coming out took the four of us back to a time when we were teenagers. We started to discuss the music, and the groups that we were hearing, and our kids were there, rolling their eyes.
Lionel Richie's "Truly" Styx "Babe", Kiss "Beth" Cindy Lauper's "Time after Time"
and Air Supply's "All out of Love" were just a few of the songs they played while we sat there. What decade did you grow up in? What songs do you remember and which groups were your favorites?
