| Foo Fighters Appreciation | | Seeing as this is my first discussion thread, I only felt it appropriate to dedicate it to the Foo Fighters, who, without exaggeration, started me on my love of music. They were the first band that I ever truly followed and owned more than a few songs off assorted albums. The first song I ever heard was their cover of Prince's "Darling Nikki," and it blew my mind...granted I was eleven, but since then I have now come to really appreciate what the raw power of Dave's voice did for that song. Prince is the man, don't get me wrong, but when Dave cries out in vain for his Nikki, well, there is nothing Prince's pop version could do to win me over. When I found out Dave was a drummer, I became a drummer. I saw my first show in 2005 at the Meadowlands the day before my first SAT. I live for these guys just like Dave, Taylor, Chris and Nate live for their fans. I have been to two shows since then and each has gotten consecutively better than the first. My second show was at the SUNY Binghamton, me and two friends drove down from Buffalo where we go to college to see them, I was pressed right up against the stage barrier so that was an experience in itself. | Foo Fighters on March 6, 2008... go or sell my tickets? | | I have a dilema. A while ago I purchased two floor tickets to go see the foo fighters on march 6th at the forum in inglewood, ca. During the time I had the money and my friend said he'd pay me for his ticket. The concert is a few weeks away and I'm down to my last dollars and my friend still hasn't paid me so I'm thinking of selling my tickets because I know they would sell for a good price. I love the foo fighters but I'm tight on cash. What would you do? | |
| | Do you like Foo Fighters? | | Hi! What do you think about this band? Do you like their style? I personally like very much this band and Dave Grohl, ex-baterist of Nirvana. I liked him in Nirvana, but now even more. SO what is your favorite song of this happy-upset rock band?:)

| Foo Fighters Let It Ripped on Sixth Album | | "It has always been my dream to mix Steely Dan with No Means No," Dave Grohl tells Billboard of the electric sound of the sixth Foo Fighters album, tentatively "Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace" and due Sept. 25 via RCA. "If anybody is going to do it, I'd love to be that guy." | |
